The munchkins are back home now.
They’re playing in their Christmas stuff that they didn’t take with them to my sister’s house.. well, the girls are. My son is outside playing with his friends.
I’m glad I didn’t get him the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire PS2 game.. they rented it this past week and he has already beaten it.. he now thinks it is boring/easy. With the basketball & football games I got him, he can change the teams, conditions, locations, and make each game seem new. So I don’t think he’ll get bored with them as quickly… at least I hope not.

I saw someone throw out a cigar when I was driving to get the kids. I wanted to yell at them.. DON’T YOU KNOW THERE’S A BURN BAN HERE!! But then I noticed that they were from out of state (from the west coast).. probably just driving thru and had no idea. But still.. it’s not nice to throw out cigars/cigarettes when driving.. it’s littering and a fire hazard.

We had a scare when I was getting the kids.. we thought the Bon Jovi tickets had been lost. My sister thought she had put them in the car and that she had asked oldest daughter to hold them, to bring to me to keep until the concert. When we met, however, the ticket envelope was no where to be found. We searched her car, everything inside it, and the surrounding area/parking lot for about 15 minutes, freaking out a little, thinking we’d have to contact Ticketmasters to get them re-printed.. wondering how to tell them, “Uhhmm.. yeah, we got the tickets, but we’re idiots & lost them.. can you send us duplicates?” When she got home, the tickets were there, in their little red envelope, laying on the ground in her driveway. That was a close one! Whew!

It’s 14 days until the Bon Jovi concert, BTW.
Yesterday on the radio, they announced the winner of the “Have a Nice Gig” contest. Hundreds of local bands (I think they said over 500 bands.. maybe over 700.. I’m not sure now that I’m typing it) sent in demos & one was chosen to be the opening act at the Bon Jovi concert. They played a song by the winning band on the radio after announcing them… the band name is HOLLOW.. and they sounded pretty good.
