Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen things about Titanium
1. I’ve been training a new employee at work this week. I’m drained.

2. I called to check on the baby birds we took to the wildlife habitat Tuesday night. They’re all doing well.

3. True friends are a blessing. I feel blessed to have made a new friendship and to have met up with two that were already friends this past weekend.

4. I LOVE my iPod. I listen to podcasts, audiobooks and music… a lot!

5. Oldest daughter is going to be in a band competition on Saturday. She is excited. I’m proud of her for working so hard to prepare for it.

6. I saw both of my sisters this past weekend. I am so happy that I am friends with them. They’re wonderful women.

7. My kids stayed with one of my sisters over the weekend. They had a great time with her family. They played at a water park, played flashlight tag, went to a movie & made tons of great memories.

8. Dobby (cockatiel) and Raven (betta) also went to my sister’s house for the weekend. :)

9. My nephews (other sister’s sons) told me that their mom & dad’s tub has a motor in it (jacuzzi). It was really cute to hear them describe it like that. 3 yr old nephew said, “Danny (what he says for Daddy) takes a bath in dere and it has a motor in it!”

10. Seven year old nephew wanted to know where Nevada is, so he took me to the world map on the shower curtain so I could show him Nevada. We talked about how far from Texas it is. How cute is that?

11. It’s almost impossible to find a Diet Dr. Pepper in Las Vegas. At least in the hotels. They’re all sponsored by Pepsi, I believe.

12. This week the OKC Arts Festival is in downtown Oklahoma City. I’m going with a few co-workers tomorrow. We’re taking a long lunch. I really enjoy going to the Arts Festival each year.

13. I will take the kids to the Arts Festival this weekend, weather permitting. Storms are forecasted for the weekend right now, but that doesn’t always mean it will actually happen.

  2. I love listening to kids talk. They get all serious and then come out with the strangest things. My 5 year old nephew does that. One second he will look at you and say I don’t think you understand the situation and 5 seconds later will say poop poop poop poop poop.

    Cracks me up

  19. I get so frustrated when I go to a hotel that only has one brand (either coke or pepsi)…actually since I LOVE Diet Coke, I mostly only get frustrated when I am limited to Pepsi products! ;-)

    My TT is up.

Training people can be the worst energy draining thing to do. I hope you get some energy back to have fun this weekend.

  26. Sounds like you are in a really good place right now with family and friends–all except for that new trainee and I’m sure with your positive attitude, that will come around too.

    Thanks for visiting my TT.

  27. #9 - so cute! It can be tricky to understand toddlers sometimes, the other week my (nearly 3 year old) daughter said “dadad wings push me sky” (grandad swings push me high)
Now you would think we are starving her as she runs about shouting “Food, ungy!” (food, hungry!) while rubbing her tummy. lol

    Happy Thursday
    Mine are up. :-)
