spat the dummy

I saw this phrase, “spat the dummy,” on a forum that I belong to & am dying to use it in a conversation.
The person who posted it, said that it is an antipodean (she’s in New Zealand) phrase meaning to spit out your pacifier in readiness for a tantrum.

Back from camp

I picked up my youngest daughter & niece from camp on Friday night. We stayed with oldest daughter, Aunt, cousin’s son & Granny at Granny’s house overnight.
Son stayed with my dad & nephew overnight. They drove back Saturday morning, too.

Update

Still working on getting the new blog design up & running. Had a few setbacks, but all is back on track now.
The two younger kids are at camp this week and oldest is with my aunt & paternal grandmother.
