straightening

The straightening cream that made my hair look gross(see 8-11-06 post) worked great on youngest daughter’s hair! She’s got long straight hair that curls a bit just below her shoulders, and bangs. After a summer of ringlets & ponytails (since we have gone to the pool almost every day), she is thrilled to have a new “do.”

Tomorrow, we’ll do oldest daughter’s hair & see how it works for her.

  1. i am the queen of curls (and the products it takes 2 manage them)!! here are a few of my favorites to google: ouidad (clearly, the finest curly hair product on EARTH, one trip 2 her salon TRANSFORMED my curls from frizzy 2 glossy + my hair is afro-latina- u probably dont see ANYTHING like it where you live), ojon (a fantastic conditioning & treatment system from central america, where the native indians have beautiful, shiny hair, no matter what the texture) + my favorite drug store pic - creme of nature ultra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner (it’s a 2in1) and cantu shea soft leave in conditioner (i’ve used this for styling too).

    growing up in a bi-racial family, my hair is a LOT of textures…but mostly fine + curly. it took me nearly 25 years to figure out how to make it beautiful.
