Dentist

I went to the dentist today. It had been a long time since I’d gone. 3 1/2 years.

Migraine

I’ve never had one before yesterday. Wow. The pain & nausea - there are no words.
A lot better today, but still hard to look at the screen without pain.
The Excedrin Migraine & Migraine Be Koool (cold pack for the forehead) that my sister brought over saved me.

Wow! This is my 750th post. Who knew I had that much to say!

Banned Books Week Sept. 23-30, 2006

Today marks the beginning of the 25th Anniversary Banned Books Week. It’s September 23-30, 2006.
From the American Library Association’s website:
Robie Harris’ “It’s Perfectly Normal” was the most challenged book of last year.

Football Fence

Each day, I drive past this chain link fence. Every month the design made of plastic cups pushed through the links is changed.
This month, it’s the Oklahoma University / Oklahoma State Football fence.
I enjoy watching to see which design will be next.

Last night, my remote control’s batteries died. Luckily, I had the directions for how to reset the codes on the remote here - in my blog - in a Thursday Thirteen post from July 19.
That saved a lot of time, so I’m glad I posted the list.

Today, I heard a phrase that I don’t often hear anymore.
A customer service representative said, “And the name, if you please.”
If you please.
I cannot remember the last time I heard that. Such a polite and gracious thing to say, although a bit antiquated.
