ambulance - how do you say it?

ambuLANCE

??

I say AMBulance. Always have. Whenever I hear someone saying ambuLANCE, it sounds really strange to my ears.

I heard two people talking today & it took me a minute to figure out what they were talking about because they were saying ambuLANCE and it sounded so foreign to me.

  1. It’s not a matter of taste or opinion. Only subliterates would mispronounce it the way your coworkers were.
