basketball game, music program & asthma

Son’s team did not win their game today - it was their first loss and the boys were really disappointed. They lost by 12 points. Son played really well and was a good sport. I’m proud of him.
Youngest daughter’s music program was tonight. She had a solo and did really well. [...]

‘ello Beastie!

Guess which movie is now at the local discount movie theatre?
Yep!
Dead Man’s Chest
Guess who went to see it tonight (again)?
Yep!
Me & the kids!

13 yr old daughter has a band concert on Friday night. She has been practicing her part & is [...]

My aunt (dad’s sister) passed away on Tuesday. We’re planning a memorial service for her b/c her wish was to be cremated & not have a funeral. This is the kids’ first time to deal with death (besides a few fish) that they [...]

Waking up with Gregory David (Shantaram) Roberts

I found this article today about Shantaram’s author.

Basketball Season

has (finally) arrived. Son & youngest daughter both made the Varsity teams for their schools and are thrilled. Son has practice 3 mornings a week before school & daughter has practice 3 days a week after school - along with an average of 2 games each week.
They’ve got scrimmages this week [...]
