She’s Laughing

I went to see the production of “On Golden Pond” this afternoon at the Civic Center. It was an incredible performance. I loved it all: the set, the actors, the performance.

It was the first time I’ve gone to an event like that alone. Mom, my sister & my niece also have season tickets, but due to illnesses in our family, I was the only one who could attend. I tried to talk my kids into going, but they were not interested at all. I would not have enjoyed myself had I taken them with their disinterest.

I enjoyed it. A lot. I liked being alone with my thoughts - laughing aloud at funny parts, shedding a tear in an emotional part, soaking it all in & enjoying my time alone.
