the fair

This morning, I applied for a passport - my first one! Before that, I’d spent a couple of hours at the air force base getting some paperwork straightened out for the kids.

Tonight, the kids and I went to the state fair. We met Chrissie and her kids there. We walked around, rode the space needle, saw a parrot show and the kids rode rides. I’ve not seen such a needless display of skin and so much disgusting food in the same place in quite a while. ICK! I spent quite a bit of time not knowing if I should hide the kids’ eyes or just distract them by pointing out something in the opposite direction.

I’m off to bed. Must get to work early tomorrow to make up some of the time I missed today.

I hope you all have a peaceful, restful night full of sweet dreams.

passport? I don’t have one either, but I need to get one. If for no other reason, to hold it and dream :)

  2. How exciting! Your mom is a perfect choice. I have been in some of the classes that she led and she is amazing to me. She knows scripture so well and Mike couldn’t have made a better choice as far as I’m concerned!

  3. Hi Ann! Mike Mazzalongo asked Mom to speak at a women’s conference in Canada in November. I’m going to that. We’re going to Niagra Falls first, then will drive into Canada for the conference. After October 1, you have to have a passport to get back into America from Canada.

  4. Truer words were never spoken! I feel the same way when I go anywhere anymore! I don’t understand the mindset of parents who don’t teach their children modesty! It’s one thing when adults dress immodestly but I see it as a totally different issue when parents allow and buy such clothing for their children! I think God must be sad when he sees the lack of clothing people wear now - in public, on tv, in commercials and print ads! I know it definitely saddens me!
Now - about the passport - are you planning a trip outside of the country? (Enquiring mind wants to know.
