new moon on tuesday

A few days ago at work, a couple of coworkers and I had a conversation about how strangely some people were acting - in the news and at work.

I said that I wondered if it was a full moon and checked my calendar to see when the full moon is this month. Turns out it’s not time for a full moon at all.

Me: There’s a new moon on Tuesday! Isn’t that in a Duran Duran song?
Blank stares all around.

Me: You’re not Duran Duran fans, huh? I’ll call my sister.

Called her. We decided that it was indeed a Duran Duran song - except I had the days mixed up. It’s New Moon on Monday!

We won’t have a new moon on a Monday until sometime in May 2008, I think.

  3. So, does this make any sense to you? Duran Duran lyrics are sometimes…inscrutable…
