In Massachusetts this is REALLY hard, even in the slow lane. I'm also happy to see that CFL bulbs are improving. If you don't have a timed thermostat this is also a great way to save because the heating gets turned down automatically. If we're away for more than a day, I'll reset the thermostats so the house isn't being heated when no-one is in it. I try to drive to and from work (highway) at or below 60 MPH.
