Youngest daughter’s appointment with the endocrinologist today was much better than the appointment last month. We’ve adjusted her basal rate of insulin and lowered her carbohydrate to insulin ratio and correction factor. Those changes should tighten up her control quite a bit. We’ll continue to monitor carefully and make sure the changes are working for her.
The endocrinologist we’ve been working with since the beginning is leaving the practice this summer. She, her husband and family are moving to be closer to family. We will miss her a lot, but also wish only the best for her.
For J’s next appointment, we’ll see a different endocrinologist. And at the appointment after that, another one - the one we’ll most likely be working with for a while.
