I saw this lovely look at the orchestra concert. Was that last week or the week before? Anyway, I had to snap a photo so I’d not ever forget how my eyeballs begged to be scoured with lye to erase the effect of gazing upon such a sight.
Now, really, why would anyone go […]
Youngest daughter and her friends have recently discovered the joy of text messaging and celebrate this joy by keeping the phone at their side at all times with a really annoying and loud ring tone for incoming messages. I’m really glad our family plan has unlimited texting.
Yesterday afternoon, J (youngest daughter) came running through the […]
J’s visit with the endocrinologist on Wednesday morning did not bring good news. Her A1C was horrible. I am not exaggerating. It was higher than the machine could calibrate. Greater than 14. Fun, huh?
For quite a while now, I have felt that I was […]
Flowers the day I bought them:
Flowers after 2 weeks with me:
Obviously I’m not a green thumb.
When I was folding laundry a couple of days ago, I saw a little tail sticking out of the stack of clothes. It wagged a little and then got very still.
I folded clothes for a bit, sorting socks and stacking the clothes according to which person they belong to.
Then I picked up a t-shirt and […]
I was by a big gray Ford truck (F-250) when I noticed that instead of the usual blue oval on the tailgate that says FORD, this truck’s blue oval says FATTY. Can you see it? I barely had time to whip out my cell phone and snap a picture when he turned. Into a […]
Yesterday, 14 yr old daughter and I went to see Gypsy. It was fantastic. I have really loved having season tickets again this year.
14’s review: I loved it all. The songs, music and actors were wonderful. But I could have done without that stripping song. Really.
Last weekend, we went to the Festival of the Arts in downtown Oklahoma City.
After sampling the Indian tacos, gyros, Strawberries Newport and Chocolate Suicide (horrible name, but wonderful taste from what the kids and Chrissie said), we saw metal horses and loads of artsy stuff.
This is probably the only fat free item at the entire […]
Fun weather we’re having today. Sirens going off. Golf ball sized hail pounding down in the yard. Tornado warnings. Insulin is in it’s drawer in the fridge ready to be packed and J’s pump supplies are in a bag. Our sneakers and socks are by the door, so we’ll know where to find them.
Sometimes I […]
Last night was youngest daughter’s spring orchestra concert. She was the cutest little viola player ever!
See?
The photos are a little blurry. I seriously need to get a new camera soon.
